Originally from Newport News, VA I've been located in the Richmond area for about 10 years. I received my Bachelors in Exercise Science from Old Dominion University. Afterwards I decided to switch paths and earned a Masters in Counseling from Virginia State University

I've been engaged in mental health services approximately 15 years and have been counseling for about 5 years. I am a solution focused therapist that utilizes a person centered approach, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and trauma informed care. My specialties are coping, addiction and sexuality/ gender identity. However, I welcome any concerns from anxiety, depression, family conflict, life transition, stress and a range of other topics. 

I established Refuge Counseling Services August 9th, 2019. Currently services are only being provided via Telehealth. Where my goal as a provider is to care for all people despite race, gender identity, sex, religious and all things that make us wonderfully different.

Refuge Counseling Services provides purposeful and effect outpatient therapy to adults and adolescents despite race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality and religious beliefs. We are committed to supporting our clients improving there mental health and well-being. 

Refuge Counseling Services vision to provide a safe, judgement free and opening environment for all to receive mental health despites difference in culture and beliefs. Our vision is remover barriers that impede on individual engaging necessary services to improve their well-being.
